At glyxshralau, we take immense pride in creating custom furniture pieces that meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, our return policy differs from that of mass-produced items. Please take the time to review our policy carefully.

Important Note: As each piece is custom-made to your specifications, we do not offer traditional returns or exchanges. However, we are deeply committed to your satisfaction and stand behind the quality of our work with our comprehensive warranty.

1. Custom Orders

When you commission a custom furniture piece from glyxshralau, the following terms apply:

Design Approval

Before production begins, we provide detailed design concepts, material samples, and specifications for your approval. Once you approve the design and place a deposit, we begin crafting your piece according to the agreed-upon specifications.

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to commence work on your custom piece. This deposit covers our initial design work, material sourcing, and production scheduling. The deposit is non-refundable due to the resources already committed to your project, including:

  • Design and planning time
  • Material acquisition and preparation
  • Workshop scheduling
  • Administrative costs

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order after production has begun but before completion:

  • The initial 50% deposit remains non-refundable
  • Additional charges may apply based on the stage of production, materials used, and work already completed
  • If production is near completion, full payment may be required

We understand that circumstances can change, and we will work with you to find the most reasonable solution in the event of a necessary cancellation.

2. Quality Assurance

We stand firmly behind the quality of our work and are committed to your complete satisfaction. Before delivery, each piece undergoes rigorous quality inspection to ensure it meets our exacting standards and the specifications approved in your design consultation.

Upon Delivery

We encourage you to inspect your furniture carefully upon delivery. If you identify any issues that do not meet the agreed-upon specifications or quality standards, please notify us within 7 days of delivery. We will address legitimate concerns promptly.

If your piece arrives with manufacturing defects or damage not caused during delivery:

  • We will repair or replace the affected components at no cost to you
  • In cases where repair is not possible, we will discuss options for replacement or other suitable remedies

Natural Variations in Wood

Wood is a natural material with inherent variations in grain pattern, color, and character. These variations are part of the beauty of natural wood and not considered defects. During the design process, we'll discuss the characteristics of your chosen timber, but please understand:

  • No two pieces of wood are identical
  • Wood color can naturally deepen or lighten over time with exposure to light
  • Minor checking (small cracks) may develop as wood adapts to its environment
  • Wood grain patterns and figuring will vary from the samples shown

These natural variations and aging processes are celebrated aspects of solid wood furniture and are not grounds for returns or refunds.

3. Warranty

Every piece of furniture from glyxshralau comes with our comprehensive warranty:

Lifetime Structural Warranty

We offer a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity of all our furniture pieces to the original purchaser. This covers:

  • Joinery and construction defects
  • Structural failure under normal use
  • Hardware functionality (hinges, drawer slides, etc.)

5-Year Finish Warranty

Our finishes are warranted for 5 years against:

  • Abnormal deterioration
  • Cracking or peeling
  • Delamination

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper use, accidents, or neglect.

Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from improper use, accidents, or negligence
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Changes in wood color due to exposure to sunlight (wood naturally darkens or lightens over time)
  • Damage from extreme environmental conditions (excessive humidity, dryness, or temperature)
  • Damage from improper cleaning or maintenance
  • Modifications or repairs made by anyone other than glyxshralau
  • Commercial use unless specifically agreed upon at time of purchase

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe you have a valid warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us promptly at info@glyxshralau.world with a detailed description of the issue
  2. Include clear photographs showing the problem from multiple angles
  3. Our team will assess the situation and may schedule an in-person inspection for complex issues
  4. If the issue is covered under warranty, we'll arrange for repair or replacement
  5. Repairs may be performed in your home or at our workshop, depending on the nature of the issue

4. Repair Services

We offer repair services for our furniture throughout its lifetime, whether covered by warranty or not.

Warranty Repairs

If your repair is covered under our warranty, there will be no charge for labor or materials. We will either repair the piece in your home or arrange for transportation to our workshop, depending on the nature of the repair.

Non-Warranty Repairs

For repairs not covered by warranty, such as damage from accidents or normal wear beyond the warranty period, we offer repair services at reasonable rates. We'll provide a detailed quote for your approval before proceeding with any work.

5. Transport and Delivery

We take great care to ensure your furniture arrives in perfect condition:

Delivery Inspection

Our delivery team will unpack and inspect each piece with you upon delivery. We encourage you to examine the furniture carefully before signing the delivery acceptance. Any visible damage should be noted on the delivery receipt and reported to us immediately.

Transport Damage

In the rare event that damage occurs during delivery:

  • Document the damage with photographs
  • Note the damage on the delivery receipt
  • Contact us within 24 hours
  • We will promptly arrange for repair or replacement
